You Raise Me Up
In April 2019 Clyde and a group of FVSO donors were in Kontum. The college students who are supported by FVSO put on a talent show for the visitors. They were most impressed.
One of the highlights was at the song You Raise Me Up sung by Y Luin. She came to the orphanage when she was 8 years old. She is now enrolled in college with plans to become an English teacher.
She is still active at Vinh Son and teaches catechism every Sunday.
What a wonderful Thank You to her FVSO sponsors.
When I am down and oh, my soul so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until You come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
There is no life, no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But when You come and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
(You raise me up, I can stand on mountains)
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
(Walk on stormy seas)
And I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
Oh, you raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up to more than I can be
