Thank You and Farewell

Dear FVSO Supporters,
I am filled with both sadness and gratitude as I announce my retirement from my role as
President of FVSO. I announced this at our June 13th board meeting and it became effective
on June 30, 2025. I've had 15 wonderful years with FVSO, 10 of those serving as President, and it is now
time to turn over the reins to the next generation and move on to the next chapter of my life.
The nuns at Vinh Son do the heavy lifting. You, the donors, provide the financial resources. We on the Board are only the intermediaries. Because of your support we have been able to support the nuns with a stable fiscal environment. This has translated to significant improvements in health, nutrition, education, and most importantly a path towards self-sufficiency.
Over the years this team of nuns, donors and the Board has improved the lives of literally thousands of children, and just as important, the communities into which they moved as adults. Our monthly newsletters have highlighted these achievements. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of this team. I am most thankful.
The nuns still have major challenges. As Vietnam grows, the minority children we serve keep seeing the bar raised with technology and social changes. We have a new team of board members with news skills and equally as dedicated. I am confident that they will carry FVSO into the future and support the nuns to meet these new challenges.
I have made many friends in our donor family and hope our paths continue to cross. Thank you for your support and may God bless you.
Patrick Leary
