How does the old story go? The light at the end of the tunnel is a train coming at you. Just when Vietnam announces their success story battling COVID they have an outbreak in Danang.
Fortunately the nuns and the kids are only affected by the social policies and not the virus itself. Kontum and Pleiku are still remote and exposure, although always possible, seems minimal. The Vietnam government quickly responded by reinstating the social distancing rules.
School is still scheduled to start in September but that has not been confirmed. The university students have all returned to the orphanages and are helping out with their skills and enthusiasm. The Sisters have developed marvelous skills keeping the kids occupied. Gardening / farming is high on the list
